The main kinds of treatment for this rare form of cancer are chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. Chemo can be given in the form of a number of drugs either by IV or as an oral tablet. the most common drugs for this cancer are:
Pemetrexed (Alimta)
Cisplatin (Platinol)
Carboplatin (Paraplatin)
Gemcitabine (Gemzar)
Doxorubicin (Adriamycin)
Mitomycin
Raltitrexed (Tomudex)
Vinorelbine (Navelbine)
The surgery is very specialised and so not offered at many places, so you will need to enquire about this and find out where it is available if it is needed
